As an Independent Sales Representative for Surplus.com, you'll tap into the significant and lucrative business equipment, machinery, industrial, and surplus marketplace while building your own client portfolio.

There are 33 million businesses in the United States with 4 million new businesses started annually. Now, certainly not all of them are the right fit for Surplus.com, but many of them are. Surplus.com serves a wide range of industry verticals such as construction, manufacturing, industrial, farming, landscaping, trades (plumbers, electricians, HVAC, etc), transportation, medical, restaurants, golf courses, gyms... and many more.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Identify and contact potential business clients to introduce Surplus.com's marketplace platform
  • Build and maintain relationships with equipment dealers, manufacturers, and business owners
  • Guide clients through the initial community onboarding process

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Proven track record in B2B sales, preferably in equipment, industrial, or surplus sectors - 2 years minimum experience preferred.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building abilities
  • Self-motivated
  • Professional appearance and demeanor with excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel
  • Excellent computer skills and comfort with digital platforms
  • Independent contractor status with ability to manage own business operations
